History 



  • 1988 - founded as Center for Genetical Engineering and Biotechnology.

  • 1993 - changed name to  Institute for Genetical Engineering and Biotechnology (INGEB); the Assembly of B&H claimed founders rights.

  • 1999 - Sarajevo Canton claimed founders rights.

  • 2000 - Memorandum of Understanding among the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), INGEB and competent national authorities.

  • 2000 - 2003 - leading laboratory for processing skeletal remains in the world (within ICMP).
  • 2005 - INGEB became "Focal point" of ICGEB.

  • 2008 - INGEB became affiliate center of ICGEB.

  • 2008 - 20 years of INGEB´s activity.

  • 2011 - INGEB hosted The First Symposium of Geneticists in B&H.
